Things are getting festive

Happy hello and Happy Holidays! It is the most wonderful time of year - Christmas! I have been busy getting lost under paper and pom-poms and getting my Christmas craft on for the last few months. You can see some of my creations over on my DIY Kiosk website.

Snapshots

Hello! Wowzers! We are experiencing a heat wave during spring here in Australia. So I'm currently hiding indoors with the cool air conditioning. Which also makes for a good time to write a blog post and share with you what I have been loving and working on in a few photo snapshots.

Happy Hello

Hello with cheery smiles! It's been quite a busy few months creating lots of fun crafty projects for my new craft website DIY Kiosk. Thanks to everyone who has been popping over to say hey. I have also been selling some of my publications and new makes in the KIOSK as well.

Since we last spoke there have been many crafternoons making fairy bread piñatas, experimenting with gift wrapping techniques (getting ready for Christmas) and off course dedicating any free time I have to penning letters to friends and decorating snail mail. How many DIY Kiosk projects can you spot in the above photo?

Introducing DIY KIOSK

Hello! Today is a special day as I get to share some exciting news about a project I’ve been designing and working on for the last year and a bit. Introducing the DIY Kiosk! My new biz and website! www.diykiosk.com.au

DIY Kiosk is an online home focused on all things DIY and handmade. In the Kiosk you can shop for DIY Kiosk goodies including: zines, stationery, DIY project kits and creations as seen on my DIY Kiosk blog.

I have been blogging here at My Life As A Magazine for 5 years now. I have enjoyed and appreciated every moment working on this blog and all your lovely comments and support over the years has meant a lot to me.

This blog has also been a place where I have built and started many friendships and found like-minded communities that have made me feel at home. I thank you for that with all my heart. My Life As A Magazine blog is still very important to me and will now act as more of a personal journal that I will be posting on every now and then, with my main focus on the DIY Kiosk.

Crafting is something very close to my heart and is something that gives me happiness daily so I wanted to create a new website where I could have a fresh start and share my crafty and professional skills and knowledge with you.

I hope for and would love your support in this new adventure! Welcome and please join me at the DIY Kiosk.

Lots of smiles and hugs, Jenna Templeton

Snail Mail

A huge part of my craft making has been dedicated to the art and love of snail mail. I even wrote and designed a zine about it last year called Happy Mail Days.

Given my love for handmade correspondence, I was thrilled to see the love for snail mail being further spread around the globe with the new book release, Snail Mail by Michelle Mackintosh, published by Hardie Grant.

I'm also very excited to say and extremely honoured to have been included in this amazing publication profiled on the 'Pen Pal' pages and also having some of my mail featured on a few pages throughout the book - talk about a dream come true!
