Thursday, March 24, 2011 5 Comments A+ a-

Over the last week I have been busy creating 3 designed prints for the upcoming edition' Paumes 'Pray for Japan' charity exhibition (un coup de main pour le Japon) held on April 5th- 17th at Tokyo's Galerie doux dimanche. It is a wonderful feeling to know that I am part of something that will help Japan in this great time of need.

Artists and creatives from all around the world have designed these one of pieces of work to raise funds for Japan's Red Cross Society- see here for more details.

An avid reader of Paumes titles, I am super excited to have my work showcased with some of their special profiled artists like Nathalie Lete & Lili Scratchy!

So get creative and help Japan!!

Lauren Conrads New Reality Show

Loving the intro to Lauren Conrad's new reality show, which steps away from all the gossip and focuses solely on her life as a fashion designer. Cannot stop playing this video- so crafty! It does remind me of the Target 'We love kids' ad...perhaps it is made by the same people?

At this time it does not look like the show has been picked up to air- Boo MTV, maybe someone else is smart enough to air it?

Colourful things that make me smile!

Little message on Japan

Tuesday, March 15, 2011 1 Comments A+ a-

Hello all. Sorry I have not posted for a week, I am heartbroken, distraught and saddened by the earthquakes, tsunamis and radiation problem that is currently occurring in Japan.

As you all know (from my posts) I love Japan, when I travelled there in the Spring of 2009 it was an experience I will never forget- a beautiful, fun unique country with a respectful and generous community of  people.

I send my love to all those who have been effected as well as shout-outs to some of my fellow blogger Japan friends; 8Tokyo, Hiki and Polkaros.

The news has been hard to watch...I wish there was more I could do- thanks to these wonderful creatives there are ways to help and raise funds to Japan in need. See here, here, here and here.

I now continue to pray for Japan xo

Have you ever got annoyed with Adobe photoshop not doing what you want it to do? I have! It makes you wish you could put your hands into the screen and fix things...manually.

This is why is would be wonderful to have a 'real life' photoshop like this one on my desk, created by ad agency Bates 141!

J-Mag Love: OZ Magazine

Wednesday, March 09, 2011 2 Comments A+ a-

OZ Magazine is a travel lifestyle magazine in Japan. It includes reviews of shops and cafes as well as a little fashion, art and zakka- It's one of my fave mags that I buy monthly. Each issue has a selected theme be it bookshops, sweets or a Tokyo/Japan area. This issue (March) however focuses on cafes around Tokyo as well as a small theatre/shop/hotel guide on Las Vegas and Tokyo lomography shop picks!

Oz Magazines simplistic white background, mt tape boarded layouts with soft natural lighting photographs make the pages inviting.

At the moment I am on the hunt for some Oz Magazine back issues, so if anyone knows or has any copies that would like to pass on-let me know- I will be one happy lady!

Enjoy!
